The Celebrity Apprentice contestant was appearing in Dancing with the Stars: Live in Las Vegas last night (May 28) but returned to her dressing room to find a man inside, TMZ says.
Sources revealed that Carrere wanted to find out what the man was doing, but he ran away.
He is alleged to have taken her purse, two phones and some cash. Another dancer is also thought to have been a victim of theft.
Police are now investigating the case after Carrere called police.
Carrere was the sixth star to be fired from the recent season of The Celebrity Apprentice, which was eventually won by Arsenio Hall.
