The 30-year-old possible future queen looked elegant in a soft pink pleated dress by Emilia Wickstead with a matching Jane Corbett hat as she joined the Queen, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall for tea and cakes at the royal residence.
The Queen, wearing a lilac silk dress and wool coat by Peter Enrione with a matching Angela Kelly hat, joined Prince Philip at the top of the palace steps as a band struck up the national anthem to around 8,000 guests who had gathered for the twice-yearly event.
The Duchess, who had worn the same outfit at the Royal Sovereign's lunch in honour of the Queen's Jubilee a few weeks ago, looked animated as she chatted with guests while an absent Prince William remained on RAF duty.
