The actress alleged in her recent memoir All That is Bitter & Sweet that she was subjected to abuse at the hands of several men as a child, including an unnamed family member.
Naomi has yet to speak with her daughter about the claims and admitted to Billboard that she is "a little nervous about doing it because this is the first time that Ashley and I have ever done anything together".
She added: "And I'm going to ask her about what happened in our relationship... I have to take a deep breath before that one."
The 66-year-old, mother of both Ashley and singer Wynonna Judd, also revealed that she has read her daughter's memoirs, which angered some family members.
"I had to take a deep breath before I opened the book and I read it by myself when I was in a good mood and had space and time," she said. "I knew I would probably be hollering out loud at certain things... but [I was] acknowledging that anyone in a relationship has a completely different reality, and I wanted to know what my daughter's personal experiences and journeys were."
The mother and daughter will also talk about Ashley's axed ABC drama Missing, as well as her relationship with race driver husband Dario Franchitti.
The interview on Naomi's SiriusXM talkshow Think Twice will broadcast on Tuesday, June 4.
