Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne make move to pay $2 million tax bill

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have made a move towards paying off an outstanding multimillion-dollar tax bill.

It was earlier reported that the couple owed over $2 million (£1.3 million) to the IRS in back taxes.

Sharon Osbourne took the blame for the oversight, saying at the time: "The bottom line is it stops with me, so I have to face up, be a big woman and realise I'm not Mrs Wonderful."

According to TMZ, the pair have paid $718,948.25 (£467,680) for their unpaid taxes in 2008, covering around three quarters of the bill.

They now owe over $1 million (£650,000) in unpaid taxes for 2007 and 2009.

Ozzy Osbourne is reuniting for several shows with his Black Sabbath bandmates, while Sharon is currently a judge on America's Got Talent.

The couple recently became grandparents with the birth of son Jack Osbourne's daughter Pearl.
