The 'We Found Love' singer was due to move to London for three months while she filmed a new fashion-based reality series for Sky Living.
However, her management have now pulled her out of the project due to "sickness".
A source told The Sun: "She cancelled her trip and all work commitments in the UK at the very last minute, which is very unlike her.
"She has been hitting it hard for months. She smokes, drinks and parties hard on top of work commitments."
During her stay in the UK, Rihanna was also scheduled to play Radio 1's Hackney Weekend and headline next month's Wireless festival. It is currently unknown if these gigs are also cancelled.
Rihanna has sparked other health fears in recent months, including uploading a photo of herself using an intravenous vitamin drip.
