Foxy Brown given three years probation
Published Wednesday, Oct 25 2006, 14:32 BST | By Matthew Houghton
US rapper Foxy Brown has been given three years probation for assaulting two people in August 2004.
The star, real name Inga Marchand, reportedly punched and kicked employees in a New York nail salon after an argument ensued over the charges for her beauty treatment.
Initially, Marchand had pleaded guilty to the offence, but later attempted to withdraw her plea, claiming that she had been rushed into making a decision.
However, the judge ruled that the original plea remained valid and sentenced the music star accordingly.
