Sadie Frost has been left badly shaken after her house was broken into earlier this week.

The fashion designer and her children were sleeping in their Hampstead, North London home when thieves struck in the early hours of Thursday morning. The burglars stole the family's Range Rover, cash, a cheque book and personal photos.

Frost's ex-husband Jude Law told The Mirror: "Yes, the mother of my kids was burgled when they were in the house. I was particularly worried because the kids were in the house and I think that is a very different type of burglar to one that breaks into empty offices and takes computers at night."

A police spokesman confirmed: "We were contacted regarding a theft in Hampstead. A Range Rover had been taken from outside an address between midnight and 8am. The vehicle was subsequently retrieved later that day. Inquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made."
