Keane frontman Tom Chaplin was insulted by an audience member during a gig this week.
The singer discussed his problems with alcohol and drugs while playing at London's Alexandra Palace on Thursday when one 'fan' became annoyed by his comments.
Tom told the audience: "A couple of months ago I was sitting just down the road in rehab. I've had some very dark times and the band have been there for me. But more importantly, you guys have always been there."
One woman in the front row shouted back: "Shut up you crackhead. It's nothing to be proud of."
A fellow audience member told the Daily Star: "She was really shouting and Tom looked really unhappy about it."
