U2 are giving their fans the chance to win a trip to Hawaii.

The Irish band have launched the competition for their supporters in conjunction with the release of their singles album.

They will scatter banners over websites globally, each containing lyrics from one of their songs of the record. Using clues on the group's official website, fans must locate the banners, and then answer a question to be in with a chance of winning the prize.

The trip to Hawaii includes the band's final gig on the Vertigo tour, which takes place on December 9.

U218 Singles is set for release on November 20.
