Gwyneth Paltrow has tipped her ex-partner Brad Pitt for an Oscar this time around.

The actress, who won at the Academy Awards in 1999 for Shakespeare In Love, has admitted she was moved to tears by Pitt's perfomance in his new film Babel.

The movie tells the story of a boy in Morroco, who accidentally shoots at a bus. Pitt plays a man desperate to save his wife.

Paltrow told the New York Daily News: "It's the best performance Brad's ever given. It makes you want to take good care of your children."
