James Woods believes his new television show revitalised his life following the tragic death of his brother.
The actor's brother Michael died of cardiac arrest in the same week as shooting began on the first episode of Shark. Woods told IMDB: "Life throws you curves you can't imagine and I got the worst and the best in the same week. We started shooting this episode, and I have to say, this series kind of saved my life."
Woods, 59, is best known for his work on the big screen, with roles in films such as Videodrome, Casino and Once Upon a Time in America. He added: "I have no reason to work. But when I work, I put on my cheerful face and do what I have to do. We have a good time and then I close that off and I go home and deal with what I have to deal with."
