Cheryl Tweedy has expressed her regret that her rivalry with Charlotte Church was able to get as far as it did.
The Girls Aloud member believes the pair actually have a lot in common, and thinks things were blown out of proportion by the tabloid media. However, she admits she wouldn't go as far as to say they like each other.
She wrote her thoughts in her Daily Mirror column: "Things just spiralled out of control. I'm upset that it got like that. It's unnecessary. I wouldn't hug her if I saw her though. I wouldn't go that far."
