Eamonn furious at DVD spelling error

Published Tuesday, Oct 31 2006, 11:39 GMT | By Matthew Houghton
TV presenter Eamonn Holmes is reportedly furious after his name was spelt incorrectly on the front cover of his new spelling DVD.

Holmes was billed as 'Eamon' (with the second 'n' missing) on the interactive quiz game, and the company was forced to destroy 10,000 copies of the DVD and delay the launch.

According to The Sun an insider reported: "He [Holmes] went ballistic, he was absolutely furious. He said 'How can you expect people to buy this game when you've misspelled my name on the front?'"

However, a spokesperson for DDS Media insisted Holmes was "bemused rather than angry".

He went on to say, "Rest assured there are no such mistakes on the actual DVD - we can guarantee that."
