The One Direction member was the subject of a new post from right-wing American blogger Debbie Schlussel, whose writings normally focus on Islam and American Muslims.
She stated that American parents should "keep their daughters away" from the British boyband while they are currently on their US tour.
Schlussel accused Malik of tweeting about Allah and Ramadan to his fans.
She wrote: "He knows the power he has over these mindless girls and is using that influence to preach the Islamic faith. It's dangerous."
Malik's cotton scarf or keffiyeh was also dubbed an "official garb of Islamic terrorism".
American Muslim campaigner Zuhdi Jasser has since dismissed her claims, saying: "All the power to him to be respectful to his faith."
Zayn Malik recently tweeted a photo of his latest tattoo of a microphone on his arm.
One Direction are tipped to perform at the closing ceremony for the London Olympics.
