David Mitchell has let rip about fashion's obsession with pointy shoes in his second Soapbox episode of 2012.
Following his rant about non-carbohydrate diets last week, the Peep Show comic has today turned his attention to the jazzy loafers parading nightclubs in modern Britain.
The 10 O'Clock Live satirist shoehorns in a reference to the popularity of powdered wigs in the 17th century.
New episodes of Soapbox are available to watch and download via YouTube, Facebook, iTunes, downloadable apps and other formats.
Sponsors ChannelFlip & Dell will launch a competition on July 5 to find the "next David Mitchell".
Winners of the contest will receive £10,000 and a year's development deal with ChannelFlip, including coaching with Mitchell himself.
