The Teen Mom 2 star was apprehended on Sunday (June 24) after she called 911 to report a domestic violence incident, according to E! Online.
Police arrived on scene and arrested Evans, as well as her fiancé Gary Head, for assault. Both were also charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
Evans's attorney Dustin Sullivan maintained that the reality star had done nothing wrong.
"Jenelle is the one who called the police and was assaulted," Sullivan said."The drugs that were found were not found on Jenelle.
"I do plan on speaking with the officers involved to learn more about why the victim of this assault was charged and will hopefully know more soon," he continued. "We do intend to... defend Jenelle from these allegations."
Evans was previously arrested for assault in March 2011, after she reportedly attacked another young woman named Britany Truett.
The 21-year-old said in April that she had ended her relationship with Head, claiming that he had physically abused her.
