James is to sign copes of her Fifty Shades trilogy at the San Diego Convention Centre event on July 12.
The event will be free for Comic-Con attendees, but fans will be required to pick up tickets in order to have their memorabilia signed.
The Fifty Shades of Grey series has proven to be a global phenomenon, with more than ten million copies sold worldwide.
Casting is currently underway for a feature film version of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Chris Pine, Ian Somerhalder and Alexander Skarsgård have all expressed interested in playing Christian Grey in the upcoming film, while Emma Roberts, Lucy Hale and Ashley Benson have been linked to the role of Anastasia Steele.
