Church: Gavin will make 'great dad'

Charlotte Church has said boyfriend Gavin Henson will make a "great dad" - but she is not ready for children yet.

The singer-turned-chat show host was responding to rumours that she and the top rugby player were expecting a baby.

She said suggestions that she had been coming off alcohol and cigarettes to make way for a youngster were misguided. "I'm far too young for that," she insisted. "There is plenty of time for children in the future."

However, she added: "Gavs is lovely, things are still going really well. So maybe one day we will have kids. I'm sure he'll make a great dad."

While visiting a children's hospital in Cardiff, she commented: "They're wonderful, but being around kids doesn't make me broody."
