Cissy Houston refuses to stay in Whitney Houston death hotel

Cissy Houston has refused to stay at the California hotel where daughter Whitney Houston died, it has been reported.

The mother of the late pop singer was booked to stay in the Beverly Hilton hotel over the weekend for the BET awards, where Whitney Houston will be honoured.



Sources tell TMZ that Cissy was uncomfortable when she was given a suite at the hotel, where Whitney was found dead in her bathtub just hours before a planned appearance at a Clive Davis party.

Houston was upset with the reservation, but revealed that she does want to visit her daughter's hotel room when she is ready in the future.

The 78-year-old singer was reportedly moved to the Regent Beverly Wilshire hotel instead.

The BET Awards air tonight (July 1) at 8pm PDT.
