A representative for the 'Call Me Maybe' singer told TMZ that a girl with pierced nipples seen in the images "is 200% not Carly".
The spokesperson added that the 26-year-old's record label is currently handling any potential cease-and-desist cases.
The individual in the photos is believed to be internet model Destiny Benedict, who promotes herself on Twitter as "b*tthole girl" and declares that she likes to "get naked... a lot".
Benedict retweeted a number of messages from people and news agencies pointing out that it was her in the images, including one that described her as "Carly Rae on meth".
She later added: "Well I just want to say this Carly Rae is a beautiful girl and i'm honoured to have been mistaken as her."
Jepsen recently revealed that she has "almost finished" her second studio album.
"I feel like the songs are mostly there, but there's still some production and stuff to be done," she explained. "But we're close. We're at the home stretch."
