Usher "torn up" after stepson Kyle Glover declared brain dead

Usher is said to be "torn up" after his stepson was declared brain dead earlier this week.

The 'Climax' singer's 11-year-old stepson Kyle Glover was seriously injured in a jet-ski accident this weekend and has since reportedly been declared brain dead by doctors.

While Kyle is the son of Usher's ex-wife Tameka Foster, US Weekly reports that the star's love for the child has not decreased because of their split.

"He grew close to Kyle and, of course, that has nothing to do with the situation with Tameka," a source told the publication. "He loved Kyle. This is a terrible, awful tragedy. Usher is torn up."

The insider went on to reveal that Usher and Foster had put aside their heated custody battle in order to support one another through the tragedy, adding: "Tameka and Usher don't get along, but in this circumstance Usher is coming to her side.

"Usher practically raised Kyle as his own. He's known him for seven years. It is so sad what happened."
