Jon Voight defends Brad Pitt mother's 'anti-Obama' comments

Jon Voight has spoken out to defend Brad Pitt's mother after her recent inflammatory comments about President Barack Obama.

Jane Pitt has come under fire for a recent letter she sent to the Springfield News-Leader, describing Obama as "a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage."



Voight recently commented on Pitt's letter in a Fox News interview on Tuesday (July 10).

When asked by the news organisation's Pop Tarts column what he thought of the controversy, the Oscar-winner declared that he agreed with Pitt's views, adding: "Good for her."

The father of actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie, Voight is a staunch and outspoken Hollywood conservative.

He recently reunited with Jolie after several years of estrangement.
