The father of Rolling Stones legend Sir Mick Jagger has died of pneumonia at the age of 93.
Joe Jagger, who was admitted to hospital in Surrey last week after a fall, died on Saturday night
Mick was able to fly into Britain to spend time with his father on Friday before flying back to Las Vegas where he performed with The Stones on their A Bigger Bang world tour.
A spokesman for the singer said that the family would not be making any comments at this stage and that arrangements would be made for a private funeral.
Joe Jagger initially disapproved of his son's career choice, but proudly attended Mick's knighthood ceremony in Buckingham Palace in 2003.
