Joseph Gordon-Levitt slams 'GQ' article about late brother

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has slammed a recent GQ article for wrongly representing his late brother Dan Gordon-Levitt.

The actor's brother passed away in 2010 at the age of 36, with no official cause of death given.



In a recent post to his Tumblr page, the Dark Knight Rises star addressed an article in this month's issue of GQ magazine which stated that his brother "died of an alleged drug overdose in 2010".

Joseph wrote: "Using the word 'alleged' technically allows the writer to say whatever she wants. The 'allegations' to which she must be referring were made by a handful of gossip websites.

"They are factually incorrect according to the coroner's office and the police department... My parents and I are disappointed with what the article chose to focus on regarding this sensitive subject."

Editors at GQ have yet to make a response to the actor's complaint.
