Cruise, Holmes prepare for wedding

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have made their first public appearance before their wedding on Saturday.

The pair sent paparazzi scrabbling for their cameras when they were spotted at Rome's City Hall.

The wedding is widely expected to take place at the 15th Century Castello Odescalchi.

Residents with a view of the castle have been cashing in on the celebrity wedding by renting out windows for close to £700.

One private terrace overlooking the likely route into the castle was offered to a TV news agency for £68,000.
