Steve Whitmore said that officers had visited the property in Calabasas, California and taken a report, but added that no arrests were made.
"Lost Hills deputies responded to a family disturbance at the home of Katherine Jackson in the city of Calabasas," Whitmore told the Los Angeles Times.
"Deputies determined that a physical altercation had occurred, a battery. It involved members of the Jackson family."
The family members involved in the allegations have not been named, although TMZ reports that one person present inside the house accused a second individual of a physical assault.
Katherine Jackson is currently believed to be in Arizona. A nephew of the 82-year-old filed a missing person's report on Saturday (July 21) after he had not heard from her for a week.
However, the Jackson family matriarch is believed to have contacted police yesterday (July 22) letting them know that she is "fine and with a family member".
