The X Factor judge is expected to pay the high legal fees for the number of lawsuits she has placed against those involved in the leaking of her sex tape earlier this year.
The 'Young' singer may have to pay the bills herself, as the people she is suing do not have enough money to pay her compensation, reports The Sun.
A source said: "Tulisa firstly paid a legal team to have the tape removed from websites.
"Then she wanted to make an example of her ex-boyfriend who admitted in court he leaked it.
"It's cost her a bomb so far – and she's still not finished.
"Even if she wins financial compensation it's unlikely she'll ever see any of it and she'll end up paying for the case herself. Financially she'll have lost, but she might see it as a moral victory."
Contostavlos is suing nine people, including two firms, who she claims plotted with ex-boyfriend Justin Edwards in the sale of the tape.
She was previously reported to be launching a lawsuit against former Spice Girls manager and X Factor consultant Chris Herbert.
The source added: "Ironically, if Chris had been able to keep his job at The X Factor he would have had no problem paying up if Tulisa proves his involvement.
"But now he's been booted off the show, that's in question."
