The Twilight star has gone to the California vacation home in an attempt to recover from the news that his girlfriend Kristen Stewart cheated on him with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, Us Weekly reports.

Although Pattinson had reportedly been spotted in London over the past few days, the publication claims that he has actually been staying at the ranch in Ojai since the news broke.
Witherspoon previously starred alongside Pattinson in the 2011 movie Water for Elephants and is thought to have offered him a place to stay while he recovers from the news about Stewart.
A source claimed that he is "a total mess" and "questioning everything", while another insider alleged that Stewart is "inconsolable" and "dying to save the relationship".
Previous reports have alleged that Katy Perry has been comforting Pattinson following the news of Stewart's infidelity.
Meanwhile, Pattinson's representative recently denied rumours that he has cancelled an appearance to promote his movie Cosmopolis.
