Arnold Schwarzenegger: 'My mother was concerned over bodybuilding'

By
Arnold Schwarzenegger, The Last Stand
Arnold Schwarzenegger has spoken of his past as a bodybuilder.

While attending the Television Critics Association's press tour on Friday (August 3), the actor revealed that his mother was initially concerned over his bodybuilding interests.

"She saw the pictures on my bedroom wall of naked men oiled up," Schwarzenegger said. "She called the house doctor and said, 'Is there something wrong? Is my son turning south here?'"

He went on to talk about the use of steroids in the sport, claiming that it would be difficult to ban the drugs entirely.

"The drug industry is so sophisticated that there's always a way around it," he stated. "But that doesn't mean we should give up."

Finally, the actor spoke about reuniting with Sylvester Stallone in the film The Tomb, which is scheduled to be released in 2013.

"We are in love with each other," he joked.

Schwarzenegger recently confirmed plans for a Twins sequel. He can be seen next in the follow-up to The Expendables.
