Bieber and his little brother Jackson recorded a message to praise Franklin for winning four gold medals and one bronze at the 2012 London Games.
Franklin - a self-professed Bieber fan - was asked by Access Hollywood Live on Monday (July 6) if the 'Boyfriend' singer's message was as exciting as her gold medal wins.
"It was a pretty close call. Definitely a close call," Franklin joked, adding: "Having that kind of recognition from someone that you look up to? It's really special!"
Franklin also revealed that her next goal is winning a mirror ball trophy on a future season of Dancing with the Stars.

"I do want to do it. I would love to go on Dancing with the Stars but, we'll see how it works out with school and if I go pro and all those crazy things you have to worry about, but hopefully someday I would love to be on that show," she declared.
