Gallagher: I quit drugs over teeth fear

The Oasis star said he had enjoyed himself when he used to drink and get "out of it" regularly but that he was worried the lifestyle would start to affect his appearance.
“My teeth were falling out and all sorts," he told Michael Parkinson in an interview to be aired on Saturday. "Nobody wants to look like a weirdo, you know what I mean?
“I don’t want it to sound like 'my drugs hell' as it wasn’t hell, it was fantastic and I had some of the most monumental nights ever. I wrote some of the best songs, met some of the greatest people in some of the greatest parties.”
He said he had been drug-free for eight and half years and added: “Where we come from in Manchester, it was the done thing and I’ve never had a problem with it. I did enjoy it but it kind of got to the point where I’d done them all and that was it.
“I got up one day and thought ‘I can’t be bothered today’ – that turned into a week, a month and then a year – I kind of then just enjoyed not being out of it all the time.”
