Alec Baldwin: "Marriage has to be a priority"

Alec Baldwin has stated his intention to prioritise his marriage over his work.

The actor wants his second marriage to yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas to work and thinks his life needs to be more "normal" for it to do so.



Baldwin told Total Film: "Now I'm with someone who's not in the business and I would like to have a different life this time, have it be more normal."

The 30 Rock star's first marriage to fellow actor Kim Basinger ended in 2002, and he believes that their relationship did not work out because it was put under so much strain from their busy acting careers.

Baldwin said: "When you're both in the business, you both know that you're going to light one film off the other."

He added that time spent with a loved one becomes "startlingly little" when dedicating towards work.

Baldwin stated: "You do the best you can at the time, but a marriage has to be a priority."
