The What to Expect When You're Expecting actress has struck a deal with publishing house Harper Collins for a health and wellness collection to be released in late 2013, reports The AP.
A spokesperson for Harper Collins said that Diaz wants to "engage and empower" women with the volume, which will cover nutritional and fitness advice, as well as words on "general well-being".
Diaz has previously confessed that she has to work to keep weight on as she has a naturally high metabolism and loves to work out.
"I'm consistent, and when I'm not consistent, it shows up on my body," she explained.
"I get really skinny, and I know it might sound like, 'Well, good for you'. But the body that people talk about is not me trying to stay slim, it's the one where I work hard to keep weight on me. Your body definitely does change."
The 40-year-old has said that she is comfortable with ageing and doesn't mind the changes she is going through as the years pass.
