The bands announced at a Denver concert on Wednesday (August 8) that they will make the donation to the newly established Aurora Victim Relief Fund, reports The AP.

Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx said in a press statement that he hopes the $100,000 donation will aid support efforts for the Aurora community as they grieve.
More than 50 were injured and 12 were killed when a gunman opened fire at a July 20 midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises.
James Holmes has been formally charged with 24 counts of first degree murder and 116 counts of attempted murder. Defence lawyers are attempting to argue that Holmes is mentally ill.
Earlier this week, another man was arrested for bringing knives and a gun to an Ohio screening of The Dark Knight Rises.
