In legal documents obtained by TMZ, Berdon argue that Rihanna should receive no compensation as it was her "own financial action or inaction" that caused her to lose millions of dollars.
The firm has also defended itself against Rihanna's accusation that they took an above average commission on her earnings, claiming that the Bajan musician gave permission for them to do so.
Rihanna has claimed that her profits increased by more than 40% since firing Berdon in September 2010.
The 24-year-old climbed back to the top of the UK album chart this weekend with her sixth studio LP Talk That Talk, first released in November 2011.
