Jenner ultimately dispelled those rumours by tweeting an image of herself aboard a yacht on Tuesday (August 14).
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is merely the latest victim of a series of celebrity death hoaxes in the last several months.
Eddie Murphy, Rowan Atkinson and Madonna have all been falsely reported as dead on Twitter recently.
Vanilla Ice was the victim of two death hoaxes in the last eight weeks, but made light of the controversy by joking that "ninjas never die".
Jenner's series Keeping Up with the Kardashians continues Sunday at 9/8c on E!.
