Johnson - previously known as Chad Ochocinco - was arrested on Saturday after allegedly headbutting Lozada during an argument about a condom receipt.
Johnson has reportedly told police that Lozada - who sustained a cut on her forehead "approximately three inches in length" - headbutted him.
However, Lozada has now released a statement to Entertainment Tonight denying the claims and thanking her family and friends for their support.
"It is with great sadness and much trepidation that I release this statement addressing the domestic violence incident that happened this past Saturday," she said.
"I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me. It is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles."
Lozada continued: "Domestic violence is not okay and hopefully my taking a stand will help encourage other women to break their silence as well. I'm grateful to my family, friends and fans for the outpouring of support during this difficult time."
Johnson, who married Lozada in July, has reportedly been charged with battery with a bond set at $2,500 (£1,590).
He has been dropped from the Miami Dolphins, while VH1 has confirmed that it will no longer broadcast the couple's reality show Ev & Ocho, which was due to premiere on September 3.
