Jenny McCarthy splits with boyfriend Brian Urlacher

Jenny McCarthy and NFL star Brian Urlacher have split, it has been confirmed.

The Love in the Wild host told People that her romance with the Chicago Bear recently ended after several months.



"Brian and I have decided to turn our romance into an amazing friendship. I will continue to be the biggest cheerleader for him. Go, Bears," McCarthy said in a prepared statement.

Urlacher and McCarthy went public with their relationship in May, after meeting a few months earlier at an autism benefit.

McCarthy was previously married to director John Mallory Asher for six years. The couple have a 10-year-old son together.

She also dated Jim Carrey from 2005 to 2010.
