Noel Gallagher doesn't want knighthood

Noel Gallagher has talked down the possibility of a knighthood, claiming it would not be in his interests.

The Oasis singer has been touted for a mention in the New Year's Honours list for his contributions to music, but the possibility of a refusal if he was offered one seems more and more likely.

When asked about his view, he simply replied: "I don't think I'd go for one of those."
