The couple were then photographed as an LA County Sheriff talked to them.
Garfield was reportedly cited for speeding and then sent on his way, though it is not known how fast he was travelling when he was pulled over.
Last month, it emerged that The Amazing Spider-Man will return for two sequels.
However, it is not yet clear whether director Marc Webb will return for the follow-up movie.
