LL Cool J alleged home intruder could face life in prison

The man apprehended by LL Cool J during a recent home invasion is now facing a sentence of life imprisonment, it has been reported.

Jonathan A. Kirby is alleged to have attempted a burglary at LL Cool J's Los Angeles mansion on Wednesday (August 22), but was physically detained by the rapper.

According to TMZ, 56-year-old Kirby has now been charged with 1st degree burglary with a person present.

The LA County District Attorney has also charged Kirby as a "third strike offender" under a Los Angeles law that penalizes frequent offenders.

Under the "three strikes" law, Kirby now faces a maximum of 38 years to life in prison if he is found guilty and convicted for a third time.

LL Cool J, who currently stars on NCIS: Los Angeles, has yet to comment on the alleged incident.
