TMZ reports that the conservatorship, which has lasted four years, is because the singer allegedly has a medical problem that prevents her from making sound decisions.
Lawyers for the conservators have made a bid to seal records concerning the case, stating that Spears's documents are "highly sensitive" and would cause "irreparable harm and immediate danger" to the singer should they become available to the public.
Sources claim that the documents contain information regarding Spears's medical condition, which is allegedly a personality disorder that affects her state of mind.
Under the conservatorship, Spears's father Jamie Spears and her fiancé Jason Trawick have legal clearance to make life and business decisions for her.
Spears will be seen later this year as a judge on the upcoming season of The X-Factor USA.
