Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi quash 'surrogate mother' claims

By
Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi have dismissed rumours that they are planning to have a child.

The couple's marital life was the subject of a National Enquirer report this month, in which a supposed friend said that de Rossi has convinced DeGeneres to start a family.

An insider suggested that DeGeneres and de Rossi "decided to go with a surrogate with Portia's eggs being used", but had yet to chose a male donor.

DeGeneres and de Rossi's spokesperson has now told Gossip Cop that the report is "completely untrue".

Their spokesperson also added that de Rossi and DeGeneres are not considering children at all at this time.

DeGeneres and de Rossi began dating after meeting at an awards show in 2004. They married four years later.

De Rossi is to star in two upcoming projects, the Munsters reboot Mockingbird Lane and the revived fourth season of Arrested Development.
