Police apparently discovered during their investigation that Baldwin was driving on a suspended license. He was reportedly later booked on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
Baldwin will appear before a judge in October to answer the charge, according to TMZ.
The outspokenly religious actor addressed the incident on Twitter on Saturday (August 25), claiming that he did not intentionally drive with an invalid license.
He wrote: "Many suggestions about what I should do&what I knew&when obviously didn't know license was suspended just glad I know Jesus is the Savior! (sic)"
Baldwin recently made headlines for coming to the aid of a woman suffering a seizure in a New York City hotel. He reportedly stayed by the woman's side until she regained consciousness.
