The basketball player has been sued by a woman named Kayla Goldberg, who says that she contracted the virus after a night spent with Humphries in August 2010 - before he began dating Kim Kardashian.
According to court papers obtained by TMZ, Goldberg claims that she and Humphries had intercourse multiple times throughout the night, and that at certain points the athlete did not wear a condom.
Goldberg alleges that Humphries failed to inform her that he had herpes, resulting in her contracting the virus a week later with symptoms that included body aches, fever and painful lesions.
The New Jersey Nets player is being sued for sexual battery, with Goldberg seeking unspecified damages.
Humphries has slammed the claims, with a representative for the athlete telling E! that Humphries does not have herpes.
The 27-year-old recently denied claims that he is the father of ex-girlfriend Myla Sinanaj's unborn child.
