Dominic Monaghan: 'I stand by everything I said on Twitter'

By
Dominic Monaghan has revealed that he stands by everything he has said on Twitter.

The Lost actor has previously caused controversy in his use of the social networking site after he accused his former co-star Matthew Fox of violence against women.

He also attracted attention when he claimed on Twitter that the television show Swamp People is about "rednecks killing gators".

Monaghan has now told Vulture that he has no regrets about his comments on Twitter, though he did not directly refer to the Fox or Swamp People incidents.

"I don't say anything unintentionally," he said. "I stand by everything I said. Everything I say defines me, and I don't apologise for it."

Monaghan continued: "It's an open forum, and people should honour that space. Not only that, if you're piqued by my comments, go check it out. Do your own research. It's all out there. It's not like I'm spilling secrets."

At the time, Fox was reported to be surprised by Monaghan's comments. He was accused last year of assaulting a female party bus driver, but the case against him was dropped.
