'Gossip Girl' Kelly Rutherford "grateful" for support in custody case

By
Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford is still hoping that her latest custody ruling will be overturned.

Rutherford was recently surprised to learn that a judge had decided her children should live with their father in France, as his US visa has been revoked.

Although the ruling allowed Rutherford 50% custody, she is reportedly planning to argue that it is unworkable because of the travel commitments.

The actress's rep has now told Us Weekly that Rutherford is thankful for the support she has received since the ruling.

"Kelly is grateful for the outpouring of support from her friends and legal experts who are shocked that American citizen children can be ordered to live in France simply because their father is banned from entering the US," the spokesperson said.

"The children are scheduled to start school in New York next week and Kelly is hopeful the judicial system will expeditiously reverse this stunning turn of events."

Rutherford has previously admitted that she was "stunned" by the ruling.
