'Good Night and Good Luck'
Potbellied pig Max, who had lived with Clooney at his Hollywood Hills home for 18 years, would often sleep in the actor's bed.
According to The Sun, Clooney first got Max when he was living with actress Kelly Preston, but demanded that he keep the pig when the pair split.
Clooney told the newspaper, "He was as old a pig as the vets had ever seen. I was really sad because he's been a big part of my life."
The actor had been out of town, promoting his new film The Good German when Max died.
He added, "It's been a bad year for my pets. I had a bulldog that died this year too. It's strange how animals become a...part of your family. They really become a big issue with you."
