Lighty was found dead in an apparent suicide in his New York City apartment late last week. He was believed to be going through a difficult divorce prior to his death.
The music mogul's death drew tributes from Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Mary J Blige and his former client 50 Cent.
"He was a good friend and adviser who helped me develop as an artist and businessman. My prayers are with his family. He will be greatly missed," 50 Cent said of Lighty.
Lighty's family and friends will gather later today at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel in New York City for his funeral, according toPage Six.
His six children are expected to attend with his wife Veronica.
Lighty rose to fame as co-founder of Violator Records and worked for both Def Jam and Loud as well.
The manager also launched a website to help young talent release their demo tracks.
