'Emmerdale' star Freeman granted bail

Emmerdale star Ben Freeman has been granted bail after being charged with raping a 16-year-old on the island of Barbados.

Freeman, who plays Scott Windsor in the ITV soap, is now free to return to the UK after paying the bail sum of 100,000 Bajan dollars - the equivalent of £26,000.

The 26-year-old actor must return to the West Indian court, in Bridgetown, on March 15 to face the charge of sexual assault. He was arrested last week after an alleged incident at the Almond Beach Resort, where both Freeman and the unnamed teenager were holidaying with their families.
